Just-15

Unlocking the Spectrum of Creativity: Masterfully Crafting 15 Unique Dimensions with Five Distinct Techniques and a Color Palette Inspired by the Color Spectrum

A. DESIGN CONCEPT

In my second piece I wanted to show that you can mix different types of making on one outfit and still you can look elegant and beautiful. So I chose five different types of making which are binding, knitting, crotchet, patching and weaving. And ten different colors which are tan, orange, chocolate, coffee, bodak yellow, mustard yellow, neon yellow, blue dragon, denim and blue. Combining five types of making and ten different colors making it fifteen "15" referring to the theme.

Since I chose colors according to color spectrum that's why I didn't put black on the list since it's not in the color spectrum.

C. PATTERN MAKING

I decided to patch weaved, knitted and crotchet materials on the trouser since if they were attached directly after sometime of being washed they tend to stretch and that would destroy the entire look.

I attached hanging materials with straps to give the outfit sassy look. And to make it easier for anyone to fit since it's adjustable.

D. FABRIC INTEGRATION

For the top I used a barbie material due to it's elastic nature, body shaping and it's very comfortable. And due to that it can be able to hold the hanging materials.

E.CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES

I decided to patch the knitted, crotchet and weaved materials to make it look clean and comfortable in and out. I patched crotchet material on the waist for it to be seen and giving the belt a masterpiece look.

Also on the neck finishing I chose binding since it gives a neck clean yet attractive look.

F. FINAL PRODUCT

G. STYLING AND PRESENTATION

I decorated the top with golden beads to give the piece elegant look. Also I decorated the trouser with shiny golden accessories to give it attention catching look on one leg and the other I added a string of beads with the same color of the material patched in order for them to bounce when walking to give it a beautiful yet attention catching look.
